Our Story

Ippo Kaizen started with a simple moment—a tough training session, a sore wrist, and a roll of tape handed over by a coach. That tape wasn’t just any tape; it was Nichiban's Battlewin Tape, made in Japan and trusted by athletes for its superior quality.

After an intense BJJ session, I needed support for my wrist before heading into wrestling practice. My coach handed me the tape and casually said, “This is the good stuff.” I wasn’t expecting much—I had used plenty of tapes before, most of which felt stiff, uncomfortable, or didn’t hold up during training. But as soon as I wrapped my wrist, I could tell this tape was different. The breathability, strength, and firm yet flexible support were unmatched.

That small moment left a big impression. It made me wonder: Why aren’t more athletes in Singapore using this?

As a boxing and martial arts coach with over 12 years of experience, I’ve seen how even minor joint issues can affect training. From wrestling to boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I’ve worked with athletes of all levels—each of them looking for ways to train smarter and stay active without unnecessary setbacks.

During my time training in Japan, I noticed that Nichiban’s Battlewin sports tapes were widely used and trusted by athletes for their durability and comfort. But back home, high-quality taping yet affordable solutions were hard to find. That’s when I took the first step (Ippo) and founded Ippo Kaizen Pte Ltd—to bring affordable, high-quality taping solutions to Singapore.

At Ippo Kaizen, we don’t just sell sports tape; we share a tool that helps athletes and hobbyists continue doing what they love with confidence. Whether it’s supporting joints, managing problem areas, or giving you the peace of mind to train harder, we’re here to help you move forward—one step at a time.
